Polyneuritis for n-Hexane Poisoning in Rubber Industries

Abstract
|
|
|
This research ´was conducted on polyneuritis for n-Hexane poisoning (17 cares) in rubber
industries. It took one month from the 14th of June to the 14th of July, 1974.
This research was emphasized on their working environments and n-Hexane poisoning. Results were as follows;
1) Rubber gums made by solvent 250 contain n-hexane in large quantities. Among of them Saiel rubber gum contains n-Hexane surpassed 655 p.p.m.
2) Polyneuritis for n-Hexane poisoning takes place 17 cases as a group. (Final diagnosis; 13. cases)
3) Polyneuritis for n-Hexane poisoning in six months of continuous services sits at the top of their cases (46. 15%).
4) At all months it occurs in February or so.
5) It was discovered among most of women workers and young workers. A group of women workers were discovered in the thirties (46.20%) and one of younger workers in fifteen and sixteen in number (30. 70%).
6) Headache covers most cases of subjective symptom for n-Hexane poisoning (61.5%).
7) Nervous symptoms for n-Hexane poisoning have a tendency to initiate from lower peri
pheral neuralgia to upper (lower peripheral neuralgia; 30.7%, upper & lower peripheral neuralgia; 15.4%).
